Barn wedding venues in Sussex
Barn weddings are one of my absolute favourite types of wedding to photograph and living in Sussex I am lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the best. Nearly half of my annual weddings I photograph are at barn venues and each and every one of them are fabulous in their own way. Barn weddings are a wonderful choice at any time of year, from spring to summer to Autumn to winter they all offer an amazing experience. From large open courtyard areas for your guests to enjoy, to stunning scenery that offers an abundance of choice for bride and groom photographs. Barn weddings allow bride and grooms to let their creativity flow, with almost blank canvases to decorate with flowers, wedding bunting, and coloured lanterns.
Many of the barns I photograph at are situated in the most beautiful settings, with open farmland and countryside, which with each change of the season offers new and beautiful colour backdrops to photograph against. With new bright green shoots in the spring to all the colours that autumn has to offer.
Upwaltham barns, in the South downs has the most amazing views, (if you can make it to the top of the hill to look back over the venue) With selden barn having a gorgeous sweeping lane for the perfect bride and groom shots. Grittenham Barn and Fitzleroi Barn both have amazing outdoor spaces for guests to enjoy with farmland only a short walk away for some creative, alternative wedding photographs among the cornfields.
For the more alternative bride and groom there is the totally awesome Yoghurt rooms in East Grinstead, an absolute favourite of mine, with a fantastic large barn and fields for camping and the secluded and beautiful honeymoon yurt, which never fails to amaze me, no matter how many times i see it. Other barns in the Sussex area include, Brookfield barn, chapel barn, Southend Barn, Bartholomew barn, Sussex Barn, and Blackstock Barn.
