Ana and Daniel's DIY garden wedding
Ana and Daniel had the ultimate DIY wedding of the year and quite possibly the best I have ever seen. They held their humanist laid back wedding at Ana’s parent’s house in Horsham, West Sussex.
Ana and Daniel are one of the most laid-back, chilled out couples I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and meeting them prior to their wedding, for their pre wedding meet I could not envisage just how great their wedding was going to be and was completely and utterly blown away by all they had achieved in such a short space of time.
Ana and Daniel had opted for my half day wedding package with coverage from just before the ceremony to the speeches. As soon as I turned up at the house I knew straight away I was going to have the best time capturing all the little details. Everything had been thought of. They had glasses of Sangria awaiting for the guests on arrival with handmade heart shaped glass tags with names on of each guest. An ingenious way to know that all of the guests had arrived. On walking through to the back garden and seeing the marquee all set up, I was blown away at how beautiful it was, with bunting hanging all around and white paper lanterns in the centre with the tables beautifully decorated with books folded into number tables. Their were floral centrepiece put together by Ana’s mum using flowers from her gorgeous garden.
Outside the marquee there was a roll top bath filled with ice and bottles of beer, glass water decanters containing soft drinks, orange juice and more Sangria. This then led through a foliage archway to a secluded area at the back of the garden which had been set out for the ceremony. The ceremony area had again been decorated with bunting, again handcrafted by and Ana’s mum.
Ana and Daniel were not sticking to any wedding traditions and had opted to walk down the aisle together, as a couple. Such a beautiful entrance and Ana looked absolutely stunning, again, in her non traditional white jumpsuit, just perfect! The ceremony, conducted by the fabulous Jane Blackman, was gorgeous, personal and intimate.
The ceremony then came to a close with Ana and Daniel walking back out down the aisle as husband-and-wife with confetti being thrown as they walk.
Ana and Daniels wedding continued to amaze me all the way through to the end, and to hear that not only did Ana’s mum help create most of the decorations, she had also made and created the entire wedding breakfast feast for the 70 guests to enjoy, with a selection of beautiful, super tasty salads, a mediteranian vegetable pastry and a dressed salmon, everything was just divine.
Complete and utter perfection in every way. Congratulations Ana and Daniel you guys rock!
