Jess & Lewis' Fitzleroi barn wedding
I was super excited at the thought of capturing Jess and Lewis’ wedding from their very first enquiry response when they told me that their dog, a wirehaired Vizsla would be their ring bearer. Being a dog owner (with a gorgeous boxer girl Roxy) and huge dog lover I knew that this would be the wedding for me.
A couple of months before the wedding I arranged Jess and Lewis’ pre wedding meeting and of course, Missy the Vizsla came along too to meet with me before the big day.
On the day, Jess was getting ready with her girls at the Cowdray Barns, part of the Halfway Bridge Inn in Petworth, just a 10 minute drive from Fitzleroi. With 6 luxury converted rooms, this was just the perfect place for an overnight stay prior to the wedding and the perfect spot to get ready.
The weather for Jess and Lewis’ wedding was somewhat glum, with rain predicted for most of the day. Most people dread a rainy a wedding, but for me, I actually love rainy weddings, with diffused light and stormy skies creating a great backdrop.
Missy performed brilliantly as ring bearer, with me having just seconds to capture the moment of her walking (running) down the aisle.
With the rain halting any chance of getting Bride and Groom shots out in the field after the ceremony we held of, with my trusty met office app telling me it was due to stop later in the day, and true to say it did, so after the wedding breakfast and speeches we headed off to the fields for some fun in the fields, capturing some of my favourite ever bride and groom shots.
It was then a dash back, once the heavens opened to get back to the barn for the evening fun in the barn with an awesome wedding ceilidh dance.
Such a fab wedding from beginning to end.
