Daisy and Sam's Jolly Sportsman pub Wedding

Daisy and Sam held their gorgeous Sussex wedding over 2 fab venues. The wedding ceremony was held at Southover Grange, Lewes gorgeous registry office and the reception at the Jolly sportsman pub in East Chiltington, just a short 15 minute drive from Lewes.

Wanting their day to be super chilled and relaxed with no fuss and to be shared with  just 45 of their nearest and dearest friends and family.

Daisy and Sam booked my bespoke “pick your own hours” option to fit in perfectly with their wedding plans. They opted for no getting ready pics so instead opted for coverage starting an hour before the ceremony, through to the first dance and little beyond.

I arrived in Lewes early (super early as I always do for weddings) and headed straight to the Kings Head pub where Sam and a few friends and family had stopped for a quick drink prior to the ceremony.

With the arrival of the bride imminent, we all took the short walk to the registry office and whilst the guests headed inside I waited outside for Daisy’s arrival.

The ceremony was perfect, the room was full of light, creating a gorgeous shimmer on Daisy’s stunning wedding gown. With the “I do’s” done, Daisy, Sam and all their guests headed into Southover Grange gardens where we made use of the stunning garden floral planting as a backdrop to their formal, family group shots photos.

With the formals done all the guests made their way to the Jolly Sportsman whilst Daisy, Sam and I held back for some Bride and Groom photographs around the Southover Grange gardens, which are pretty spectacular at all times of the year.

Leaving shortly before Daisy and Sam I arrived at the Jolly Sportsman and was delighted with how gorgeous the pub garden looked. Seating all around and a stunning weeping willow tree as centre of attention. Daisy and Sam arrived in style in her fathers awesome camper and entered the garden to a full guest confetti  line. Always a favourite wedding photography moment for me to capture.

The rest of the afternoon was just as Daisy and Sam had wanted. Super chilled, relaxed, sunny pub garden with refreshing drinks, lawn games and scrummy food.
Following the sit speeches and wedding breakfast we decided to head out for a few more golden hour bride and groom shots. Just a short stroll across the road from the pub was the most stunning fields of tall golden grass. Absolute perfection.

My dream wedding to capture from start to finish. Daisy and Sam, thanks so much for having me along to share and capture your day for you. I had the best time and wish I could do it all over again. I am in no doubt you will have a long and happy married life together.
