Hendall Manor Barns Wedding - Romantic and Beautiful
A Sussex barn wedding at its absolute best!
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Hannah and Alex’s wedding at the gorgeous Hendall Manor Barns back on a sunny September day. I’d met with Hannah and Alex previously on their engagement shoot at Devils Dyke in Brighton so turning up to their wedding was more like turning up to photograph the wedding of a friend.
Hendall is such a gorgeous venue and one I know well with this being my third wedding at the venue this year. Situated in the East Sussex countryside overlooking Ashdown forest, this venue has the most gorgeous rough stone split-level barn, with south facing terrace and lawns kept to beyond perfection. This exclusive use venue is always a sure winner. With a multitude of areas for photographs such as the private gardens, the orchard, the pond, and surrounding areas, I am never short for beautiful backdrops.
I started my day with Hannah, her five bridesmaids and parents at her parents gorgeous house. With Liz from Simply beautiful wedding hair and Jane Mather from Jane Mather makeup on hand to make the girls even more beautiful than they already were. The morning wasn’t short of lovely moments for me to capture too, with handwritten gifts and cards given to the girls and some lovely moments between Hannah and her family.
Following the gorgeous ceremony at All Saints church in Crowborough, it was then time for Hannah and Alex to depart in style off to their reception venue, Hendall Manor barns. With the sun shining, their guests could enjoy the terrace and lawns and the beautiful surroundings whilst sipping champagne and eating delicious canapés, lovingly prepared and displayed by the talented team at Louise's Kitchen. With the guests occupied I whisked Hannah and Alex away for a few bride and groom photographs making great use of all the areas Hendall has to offer.
Before long it was time to head into the barn for the all-important wedding breakfast and speeches, amazing speeches were given by all and it was soon time to hand over to the fabulous Louise’s kitchen for the wedding breakfast which I am without doubt was thoroughly enjoyed.
Hannah and Alex’s wedding had it all, complete and utter wedding perfection, from the gorgeous flowers supplied by Sussex cutting garden to the cake that was too good to cut by the talented Sylvias kitchen. An awesome couple with an amazing group of friends and family who made their day extra special.
