Izzie and Eddie's Upwaltham Barns Micro Wedding
I was so so excited when Izzie and Eddie chose to book me for their Wedding at Upwaltham Barns, and knew from the first time meeting Izzie this would be one of the most beautiful, carefully orchestrated weddings I would ever capture. After all Izzie knows the venue better than most, being a wedding coordinator for Nibbles to Nosh the in house caterers and also with the barns being her grandparents' family home.
Izzie and Eddie had booked me 18 months prior to their wedding date and we kept in regular contact throughout the whole planning process, discussing timings, group shot plans and locations for the bride and groom photographs, ensuring that the most could be made of golden hour and that gorgeous September sun.
When lockdown happened, Izzie never gave up, determined that their day would go ahead, whatever rules and regulations the government could throw their way, Izzie was marrying her Eddie! Shortly after lockdown we were able to meet up at the Witterings in East Sussex for their engagement shoot, which was actually one of my first shoots post lockdown and it cemented to me even more that Izzie and Eddies wedding was going to be pretty special.
As the date drew nearer it became apparent that their wedding would fall into the 30 guest limit - not an easy task when there should have been more than twice that amount, but Izzie and Eddie and the team at Upwaltham Barns and Nibbles to Nosh absolutely nailed the idea of the all new 2020 “micro wedding”.
Using the smaller ceremony barn for the wedding breakfast, I was absolutely blown away at how utterly stunning it was. With help from To have and to hire, Surrey wedding hire, crystal company and the Floral artisan the room and table decorations were to die for.
On the day Izzie had the most stunning separates wedding dress from May and Grace Bridal - with 2 varying lace overlay options for the day and evening. Teamed with a gorgeous floral crown from the Floral Artisan, Izzie became the absolute perfect boho bride.
Thanks so much to Izzie and Eddie for allowing me to share you day, you rock!
