Laura + Carl's Upwaltham Barns Wedding
Laura and Carl held their wedding at the wonderful Upwaltham Barns, set in the South Downs between Petworth and Chichester it is a long running favourite venue of mine to photograph at. I met with Laura on the morning of the wedding at the Tinwood wine estate, a 5 minute drive from Upwaltham barns, where she was getting ready with her mum and girls. Having previously met Laura on a couple of occasions leading up to the wedding, one of which being on a pre wedding shoot I knew that Laura would be nervous on my arrival as having her picture taken is not one of favourite things!
Tinwood wine estate was a fantastic location to get ready and with far reaching views over the vineyards and plenty of fizz and cheese on hand, the girls had a great morning. By midday it was time to head to Upwaltham barns where the girls could finish getting ready in the utterly beautiful Jasmine cottage.
Carl and the boys were already at the barns so I was able to sneak between the girls and the boys to get shots of the final preparations. With the sun shining and the guests arriving the courtyard at Upwaltham barns was soon full of happy wedding goers and I was happily moving around capturing some fun candids of the guests.
The ceremony was gorgeous, with Laura being given away by her proud dad, readings by one of Laura's bridesmaids and personalised and tearful vows from Laura and Carl. Following the ceremony and confetti line up I headed off with Laura and Carl to the top of the hill for some couple shots, beautiful, natural and relaxed!
The wedding breakfast was fabulous, with nibbles 2 nosh creating a scrumptious bbq feast. The speeches were a fantastic giggle with all the guests roaring with laughter on several occasions which is just the best for me to be able to capture.
In the evening Laura and Carl had Punjabi street food be served from the courtyard and it smelt absolutely divine!! Just wish I wasn't so full up from the dinner so that I could have tasted it!
