Small intimate micro Weddings
Whatever you choose to call it, be it an intimate wedding, elopement, or a micro wedding, smaller weddings are becoming more popular and I absolutely love them.
You may be looking at having a smaller wedding to keep costs down or it may be that you just don’t want all the fuss and attention that can come with having a larger wedding. Sometimes all you need is a nice outfit, your very close nearest and dearest, a registry office and a nice pub meal afterwards. I’ve shot weddings so small I even had to be one of the witnesses!
I shoot lots of smaller weddings throughout the year and have an hourly wedding photography pricing option that works perfectly for them. With a minimum coverage time of 2 hours you can have the important bits captured but for a fraction of the cost of having a wedding and a photographer with you all day. I can cover any hours that work with your day with the most popular sitting at 2 - 4 hours.
From a photography point of view, smaller micro weddings and elopements are great, less time constraints of large sit down meals, fewer family group shots and way more time to spend capturing just the 2 of you, either at the location you are wed or taking an hour out to take a drive to some awesome scenery or a walk around a city location. More time to relax and more time to get creative.
For my minimum 2 hour slot I generally cover from 30 minutes prior to the ceremony for the guest arrival, the ceremony itself which then leaves an hour for a few family and friend group photos’, a few relaxed couple shots and then a few candid shots too.
Another advantage to holding a smaller micro wedding or elopement is that they can be held on any day of the week and at any time of year. No need to spend a year plus planning and stressing. Most of the smaller intimate weddings I book are only secured 4 - 8 weeks before the day.
If you are looking for a photographer for your smaller wedding do get in touch. I capture lots of intimate weddings all across Sussex.
