Stunning Pilrgrims Rest Wedding

Pilgrim rest battle abbey wedding

The Pilgrims Rest is a beautiful and magical venue in the heart of the medieval town of Battle, East Sussex. A small venue perfect for those looking for an intimate wedding venue. With character galore this 600 year old house has gorgeous inglenook fireplaces, ancient beams and glorious courtyard gardens to the front and back. Not forgetting the backdrop and grandeur of Battle Abbey right next door.

Yasmin and Chris held their wedding with just 15 of their nearest and dearest. A beautiful ceremony in a room oozing romance and history. With bench seating covered with sheepskin throws and an ancient staircase entwined with foliage, it really was an absolute pleasure to capture.

Having a small intimate wedding, Yasmin and Chris only wanted photography coverage for a few hours, to simply capture the ceremony, drinks reception, formal group photos and a few bride and groom portraits around Battle abbey.

During the last year I have captured many smaller weddings, often small due to restrictions in place at the time, but I have honestly loved each and every one of them. Small, intimate weddings are a great option for any time and I love being able to offer flexible wedding packages and a simple hourly coverage rate to capture and tell the story of these intimate weddings.

I have wanted to capture a wedding at Pilgrims rest for some time, and now I have, I can’t wait to go back and capture more at this absolutely stunning wedding venue.
