2021 A Sussex Wedding Photographers Year in review.

Weddings in Sussex - A year in review 2021

2021 was an amazing year for me for weddings. With so many weddings unable to take place in 2020 many of my lovely couples tied the knot in 2021 instead. With lots of postponed weddings to catch up on and lots of couples taking the plunge last minute to get married, 2021 was definitely my busiest year to date. With so many weddings having been put on hold for so long and people being locked away from seeing their nearest and dearest, when weddings did get the full go ahead, dancing and all, all my weddings went nuts, and I had the best time capturing them all!

2021 was the perfect mix of weddings for me and definitely weddings that suit my style and personality. With my favourite barn wedding venues, Hendall Manor, Yoghurt rooms, Brookfield Barn and Upwaltham to several DIY at home weddings, large family gardens and home farms, tipi tents galore and lots of super chilled couples!

After spending many years refining the wedding photography packages I offer, my hourly rate package came into its own. With restrictions still in place for the first half of the year couples were after a toned down wedding photography coverage, not needing the full days coverage and opting more for either a half day or just a couple of hours for their smaller. Intimate registry office weddings.

Many of 2021’s weddings will stay in my memory for a long time, there are always certain moments, or locations that totally win me over. Becca and Jack's Mexican themed, super colourful wedding will always be a firm favourite, the detail and thought put into styling the barn was out of this world. Ellen and Alex and their super chilled Hayling Island village hall wedding with unforgettable views and scenery along the Billy track. Driving my own golf buggy at Betchworth golf club and seeing the amazing views of Box Hill and the North downs made me want to take up golf (one day I might just do that) Capturing a wedding at a family farm where the Bluebell railway line passes was super special and i shall never forget my first wedding of 2021 right at the end of May, signaling the end of covid restrictions for weddings! Woohoo! All of my weddings in 2021 were amazing and I can’t thank all my wonderful couples enough for having me along for the journey!
