Patricks Barn Wedding Photography
I had the most amazing day at the end of May capturing the wedding of Laura and Dave at the fabulous Patrick’s Barn within the chiddinglye farm estate in West Hoathly.
My day started bright an early, when I met with Laura and her girls at a little hidden gem of a hotel, the Windfall boutique hotel in Worth. What an amazing place, with only 4 bedrooms, this hotel was just so beautiful and decorated to the most astounding quality. Pure luxury. Plus there were chickens roaming around in the gardens, so even more of a winner for me!
Joining me and the girls in the morning was the gorgeous and very talented Becky from Beckies bridal hair, who I have freakishly crossed paths with at 4 consecutive weddings this year!! 2 in the same weekend!
With the girls all ready and Laura looking utterly amazing it was time to head to Patrick’s barn in West Hoathly, just a 10 minute drive from the hotel.
With rain and thunderstorms forecast for the day, the planned outdoor ceremony was moved to inside the barn. Having already wed the legal way a few days prior it was now down to Laura’s godfather and Dave’s Mum to conduct a beautiful intimate and personal blessing in front of friends and family. With Laura and Dave reading their own heartfelt vowels. Simply beautiful.
With the ceremony over I decided to make the most of the dry spell of weather and whisk Laura and Dave around the stunning grounds for a few bride and groom portraits. Of course making the most of the giant redwood trees that make the most phenomenal backdrop.
On our return to the barn the heavens opened and it was then that we made full use of the gorgeously natural lit cow shed barn and fantastic old brick wall for the family and friend group shots. Seriously awesome with just the most perfect diffused light coming through the roof lights.
Becky and the team at the garden chef did a fantastic job running the day, providing hampers of food on each table with delicious carved beef, coronation chicken and the most devine homemade pie.
With the wedding breakfast and speeches complete it was then over to the awesome “foot stompin” Dr Bluegrass for some afternoon / evening entertainment. I wish they could attend all of my weddings! Super talented and just the nicest people you will ever meet.
Laura and Dave weren’t fussed about having a cake to cut so instead Becky from the Garden Chef made the most amazing tower of homemade doughnuts, seriously delicious and each and everyone of them devoured in minutes!
An awesome, gorgeous, laid back, chilled out wedding, at an amazing venue with lip smackingly delicious food. Laura and Dave you rock!! Can we do it all again please?......
