Brookfield Barn Wedding
I had the absolute and honour and privilege to photograph the wedding of Lauren and Dave at the beginning of April at the fabulously gorgeous Brookfield barn in Sussex.
Having known and grown up with lauren and her older sister I was thrilled to be asked to be their photographer and play such an important part of their day. I think somehow there’s even more pressure when photographing the wedding of someone you know so well!! With the sun shining, finally, after what has felt like an extremely long winter, spring had arrived and what a perfect day for it to start.
I joined the girls a few hours ahead of the ceremony at the barn where they were getting ready. With the extremely talented Beckie from Beckies bridal hair already there making a start on the girls hair. As normal the morning flew by and before long the guests were arriving and soaking up the sun in the barns grounds.
The ceremony was held in the main barn and with such gorgeous weather the doors to the barn were wide open bringing a little bit of the outdoors in, and creating a gorgeous view for the guests and Lauren and Dave to admire.
The barn had been decorated so beautifully, Lauren’s aunty C and aunty V had done such a fabulous job in creating so many stunning displays, showing the lives and loves of Lauren and Dave and special memories of loved ones passed. With hessian chair ties and hessian aisle runner provided by the fabulous Shelley's venue decoration and the gorgeous spring flower displays lovingly crafted by Lauren' step sister Rachael at Raes Boutique.
Whilst I was busy snapping away, with shots of Lauren and Dave, family group shots and fun candid shots of the guests, the brookfield barn team, along with help from Shelley venue decoration and Rachel's gorgeous flowers were busy transforming the barn ready for the wedding breakfast.
With the room set out in a horseshoe shape with Lauren and Dave at the top in what can only be described as thrones, the room looked fabulous. I love weddings rooms set out in this shape as it allows me to move about and capture lots of smiley happy wedding goers who were being entertained and wowed fantastically by a magician.
With the wedding breakfast and speeches complete the barn was transformed once again for the evening celebrations. There was no better band to play than that of Lauren’s sister and dad, who together perform as Another Paige. Outstanding!!
Thanks for having me Lauren and Dave.. You guys ROCK!!
