Summer Wedding at Bartholomew Barn Sussex
The Venue - Bartholomew Barn
Bartholomew Barn is a gorgeous fully restored grade II listed barn, situated in beautiful countryside within the South Down national park. The venue is a complete black canvas, allowing you to create your dream wedding. Outside you will find a gorgeous courtyard garden with a large pond, the perfect place for your guests to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. To the front of the barn are fabulous open fields creating a gorgeous green English countryside backdrop to your wedding photos.
The Wedding Day
As the first picture shows, Ellie and Dan had a 4th time lucky date with their wedding and I am so thankful that after all the turmoil I was still able to be with them and capture their magical day. Luckily they managed to keep their 1st choice wedding venue and suppliers throughout and in the end they had the most amazing wedding day that was worth waiting all that time for.
I was with Ellie and Dan from the morning preparations in Midhurst all the way through to the first dance. Their ceremony at the barn took place outside, with live music and a wonderful atmosphere. Following the ceremony I captured several group shots outside the front of the barn and then headed into the large open field to capture a few more of the main bridal party. I love a large bridal party squad and these guys were fab and a lot of fun to capture. Ellie and Dan’s wedding breakfast took place inside the main barn with 7 amazing speeches and games created by their amazing friends and family. Capturing the groom winning the jackpot of money after playing the heads and tails game was super hilarious!
