Abi and Mike's Autumnal Bartholomew barn wedding
My final wedding of 2020 saw me with the utterly gorgeous and awesome Abi and Mike. They held their wedding at Bartholomew Barn in Sussex. A venue that has somehow evaded my repertoire for the last 10 years I have been a wedding photographer, so it was great to finally be able to capture a wedding here.
With weddings in 2020 being different to most other years, this again was a micro wedding with just 15 guests. I started my day with Abi, at a local airbnb to capture the last moments of bridal prep. After a short 10 minute drive to the venue I met with Mike and the rest of the guests for the first time. With the rain pouring I made a quick dash into the venue where the open wood fire was burning creating a gorgeous autumnal glow inside the barn.
Abi arrived shortly after for their short but love filled ceremony. The way Abi and Mike looked at each other throughout the entire ceremony made my heart melt - Such a beautiful moment.
Luckily following the ceremony the rain cleared and we were able to get some time outside to capture a few family group shots before Mike’s dad fired up the bbq for their relaxed wedding breakfast. I was then able to spend some time with the bride and groom. Abi had an awesome black leather jacket, With a motif of initials and florals and she absolutely rocked it!
Abi and Mike's wedding was a great end to my 2020 wedding season - roll on 2021 when, fingers crossed, I can be back doing what I love.
