Oak Tree Meadow Wedding
On what was by far the hottest day of 2019 I was off to capture the wedding of the gorgeous Ellie and Chris at the wonderful Oak Tree Meadow in Hampshire.
Following a morning with the girls at Ellie’s parents house, it was time to head to the church, St Andrews Church in Medstead. By now the heat of the day was in full swing and being in the cool of the church was a welcome relief for many. After the service all the guests headed outside and lined up along the shaded pathway to make a confetti aisle to welcome the new Mr and Mrs. After a few shots in the shaded gardens of the church we took the drive to the reception venue - Four Oaks Farm in Kingsley, Hampshire.
At the venue was the super lovely Clair from Wild Wedding Company who was there to provide on the day wedding coordination, and what a fabulous job Clair did. I was so grateful to arrive at the venue and find that the 2 glorious Oak tree’s in the meadow provided the perfect amount of shade for all the guests to sit back and relax. Ellie and Chris had the most gorgeous Giant hat tipi tent which looked incredible set up behind the ancient Oak trees.
As a last minute call it was decided that the speeches should take place outside under the oak trees as the heat inside the tent was pretty unbearable. I have to say I love it when speeches are outside, so much room to move around and capture the lovely reactions of all the guests and bride and groom.
After the meal and into the evening I headed off for a walk with Ellie and Chris for some bride and groom photos. At 9pm it was still a whopping 29 degrees and extremely humid, but we still managed to capture some wonderful shots along the long sweeping driveway to the meadow.
It really was such a wonderful day, certainly a wedding that I will never forget. Congratulations Ellie and Chris. You Rock!
